Christmas again. It really did creep up on me this year. We had planned for it to be a quieter one. Usually we would go away but COVID made that difficult/impossible this year (and last) so we were staying home.

Unfortunately A’s grandfather passed away on Christmas Eve. It was very sad, but he’d had a good life and was surrounded by his family. Not a bad way to go.

As a result our Christmas plans changed, not for the worse, just different. We ended up having Christmas with a lot of different family members which for me in particular was strange.
